Product Description
Electric furnace steelmaking is the use of graphite electrode into the furnace current, strong current in the electrode at the bottom of the gas arc discharge, the use of the heat generated by the arc to smelting. According to the capacity of electric furnace, different diameter graphite electrodes are used. In order to make continuous use of electrodes, electrodes are connected by electrode thread joints. The graphite electrode used in steelmaking accounts for about 70 ~ 80% of the total amount of graphite electrode.

Instructions for use
1. Wet graphite electrodes should be dried before use.
2. Remove the foam plastic protective cap from the spare graphite electrode hole, and check whether the internal thread of the electrode hole is complete.
3. Clean the surface and internal threads of the spare graphite electrode with compressed air free of oil and water; Avoid using wire balls or metal brush sandcloth for cleaning.
4. Carefully screw the connector into the electrode hole of one end of the spare graphite electrode (it is not recommended to directly install the connector into the replaced electrode on the furnace), without colliding with the thread.
5. Screw the electrode hanger (preferably made of graphite material) into the electrode hole on the other end of the spare electrode.
6. When lifting the electrode, place a loose object under one end of the spare electrode mounting joint to prevent ground damage to the joint; After inserting the hook into the lifting ring of the lifting device, lift the electrode smoothly to prevent it from loosening from the B end or colliding with other fixed devices.
7. Hang the spare electrode above the electrode to be connected, align it with the electrode hole, and slowly drop it down; Rotate the backup electrode to rotate and lower the spiral hook together with the electrode; When the end faces of the two electrodes are 10-20mm apart, clean the exposed parts of the two end faces and joints of the electrodes again with compressed air; When completely lowering the electrode at the end, do not use excessive force, otherwise violent collision may cause damage to the electrode hole and joint threads.
8. Use a torque wrench to tighten the backup electrode until the end faces of the two electrodes are in close contact (the correct connection gap between the electrode and the joint is less than 0.05mm).
