* Easy to assemble and operate, only two people can set up the Imperial™ Casket Lowering device system and prepare it for the memorial service in just a few minutes.
* The opening for the coffin can be adjusted from approx. 157.5 x 66 x 17.8 cm (62" x 26" x 7") (minimum) up to approx. 238.8 x 96.5 x 17.8 cm (94" x 38" x 7") (maximum) (L x W x H) in just a few steps.
* The coffin is placed on the green straps and the automatic lowering is started by lever and can be stopped in any position. The device is gravity powered by the weight of the coffin and body; there is no external power source.
* The speed of descent is adjustable around a typical rate of 3 to 5 cm per second.
* After the coffin I fully lowered, the straps are released on one side and drawn out through a small space established between the bottom of the coffin and the ground.
* The Lowering device can be easily disassembled after use, or stored in its assembled form. A protective storage/carrying bag is available.
* Straps can be made to the length necessary for any depth of grave. The sinking depth of our standard straps is approx. 240 cm(8'). The Imperial™ Casket lowering device thus supports both standard and deeper graves.
* Frame made of high quality hardened stainless steel tubes. Corner heads are solid, polished cast aluminum. Stainlesssteel and aluminum are rust and corrosion resistant, adding to the longevity of use. Self-lubricating bearings.
