CSC Certified Collapsible End Fixed End Flatrack 20ft Flat Rack Container 

A flat rack container is a container made of steel with raised edges on the cross cut sides. Flat racks are used for transporting goods with unique shapes as these can stick out through the open sides. Flat racks can be loaded from the top or the sides.

There are two types of flat racks. A flat rack container which has a foldable wall is called a collapsible flat rack container or folded end flat rack contaienr. These flat racks can be easily stacked. Flat racks which have 4 fixed posts which is not foldable is called a fixed end flat rack container. In general, only 20ft and 40ft flat racks are produced.

 

FOR HEAVY, BULKY AND OVERSIZED CARGO

Our 20ft Flatracks are suitable for the safe intermodal transportation of oversized and bulky heavy cargo such as vehicles, large and heavy industrial machinery, drums, barrels, and large reels of steel pipes.

Designed with no roof and open sides, this robust intermodal equipment is made from corten steel, providing extra strength collapsible end walls and crossmembers.  The Flatrack enables for the easy loading of awkward and heavy equipment by crane and positioned so that the weight is distributed so that the centre of gravity isn’t too far offcentre. Once loaded onto the heavy-duty timber floor, the cargo can be tightly secured by using lashing bars that are fixed to the floor and corner posts.

The Flatracks are equipped with a standard built-in interlocking system, so when empty, they can be stacked and bundled together to help save on-site storage space and costs. Interlocked, these units can also be shipped stacked and transported as a single cargo container, optimizing backhauling strategy and keeping costs to a minimum.
