Rotary Valve Description
Rotary valve, also known as shut-off fan, star valve, rotary feeder, air lock valve, etc. The structure of a rotary valve usually consists of a rotor impeller with several blades, a casing, sealing elements, a reducer, an electric motor, etc. It is particularly suitable for materials such as powder and small particles. Rotary Valve Main Functons
1. The rotary valve can discharge product quantitatively and continuously. When the product in the upper silo falls by its own weight and fills the gap between the blades, it is discharged from the lower part as the blades rotate (see chart a).
2. The rotary valve is an important component commonly used in pneumatic conveying systems. For pressure output systems or negative pressure output systems, the rotary valve can evenly and continuously supply material to the conveying pipe to ensure that the air and solid inside the pneumatic output pipe are relatively stable, so that the pneumatic conveying can work normally. At the same time, it can also isolate the upper and lower air pressures of the rotary valve and play a air locking role (see chart b).
3. The rotary valve can be used in material collection systems. It is currently the most advanced unloading device in China and is commonly used as one of the important equipment in dust removal systems (see chart c).
