In 1988, Matsukawa House built their third factory in Jimei district in Xiamen, China, hence Xiamen Yamata Foods Co., Ltd. was established. For nearly 20 years, the factory produced only Coated Nuts for Matsukawa House to cater Japanese market. In 2006, the company undergo restructuring with two Chinese partners joined to achieve new aims and become more competitive in market. Yamata Foods opened its export channel to South-Eastern Asia and Europe, following by America, Middle-East, Oceania and Africa. Two years later, Yamata Foods starts to focus in China domestic market, this move brings great success with establishment in market shares and brand awareness with the Yamata brand emphasize in excellent food quality.

By 2010, facilities had become inadequate due to the rapid grow in business. Hence, Yamata Foods decided to expand and build another factory near downtown Xiang’an for future modernization of processes and growth. The new facility starts operating since March,2015, with 40,000 square meters buildup to provides 20,000 tons production capacity per year.

To date, Yamata Foods produce not just Coated Nuts products, but also diversified in product range to cope with market demands, constantly launch innovative products and keep existing product range up-to-date. By taking cues from the changing needs of consumers, Xiamen Yamata Foods Co., Ltd. continue to strives to set firm foundation for both domestic and international sales, and always welcome sincere partnerships with new customers.
