Company Profile

shikisaido Co., Ltd.
Bringing the entirety of Japan to the world.
Shikisaido is a Japanese household goods store that was founded in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1998.
We have selected and sold crafts, food products, and other goods from local production areas that specialize in traditional handicrafts and “monozukuri” manufacturing, and these locations include 47 different prefectures all across Japan.

In 2005, we were incorporated as Shikisaido Co., Ltd. With Shikisaido’s core business as a Japanese household goods store, we have been in business with close to 1,500 companies (private workshops included) in Japan, and our slogan when it comes to our business ventures is: "Revitalizing both Japanese crafts and the local areas that make them.” In addition to this, we also design and develop our own original made-in-Japan products, which we sell both domestically and overseas.

The crafts that we offer include Japanese-style pottery and lacquerware, chopsticks, glass, noren curtains, Nambu Tekki ironware, tapestries, maneki-neko (beckoning cat figures), and Daruma dolls. Our wide range of goods also includes food products, such as sencha green tea, matcha green tea, and dashi stock.

We would like to showcase Japan’s signature product quality to the world, which only comes by way of the careful craftsmanship that Japanese artisans can offer.

Revitalizing both Japanese crafts and the local areas that make them.
