Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a non-polluting water-soluble polymer, usually white or slight yellow floccule, flake, granular or powder solid. Dissolved in water. Slightly soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide.Its performance is between plastic and rubber. It has good adhesion, film-forming ability, insulation, oil resistance, abrasion resistance and gas barrier property, and has typical polyol chemical properties, which can enable esterification, etherification, and acetylation reactions.Polyvinyl alcohol is an important chemical raw material used to make polyvinyl acetal, gasoline-resistant pipes and vinylon synthetic fibers, fabric treatment agents, emulsifiers, paper coatings, adhesives,glues, etc.
