Gas-phase silica is a nano-scale white powder generated by high temperature hydrolysis of silicon halide in hydrogen and oxygen flame, commonly known as gas-phase silica. It is an amorphous silica product with a primary particle size of 7-40nm, an aggregate particle size of about 200-500 nm, a specific surface area of 100-400m2 /g, and a high purity. SiO2 content is not less than 99.8%. The surface of untreated gaseous silica aggregates is composed of a variety of silicon hydroxyl groups.

Applications


1. Powder coating
The addition of gaseous silica can effectively reduce the adhesion between powder particles and between powder and tube wall,
prevent the powder from agglomerating, give the powder good fluidity and porosity.

2. Adhesives and sealants
The excellent reinforcing, thickening and thixotropic properties of gaseous silica are used to prevent the precipitation of
adhesives and sealants in the storage process and the flow hanging phenomenon in the curing process.

3. Lubricating oil
The use of gaseous silica as lubrication additive can not only form a thin film that is easy to shear on the friction surface.

4. Foamed silicone and silicone rubber
Gaseous silica can form physical or chemical combination with silicone rubber macromolecules to achieve the strengthening effect.
