The Dell EMC PowerEdge R740xd2 helps you plan for the future with large internal storage and cost-effective hard drive capacity. It offers dual computing performance with flash memory and fast networking options to meet streaming requirements. Automated management features and maintainable hard drives from the front end simplify the management of large data sets. The R740xd2 has built-in security to keep your local data safe even as you expand capacity.

Up to 26 3.5" hard drives (364 TB) can be scaled up in this 2U rack server. For vertical expansion, up to 520 3.5" hard drives (7.2 PB) can also be scaled in a 42U rack.
Up to two second-generation Intel ® Xeon ® scalable processors and 44 cores give you dual-path performance.
The combination of 2.5" SSD and 3.5" hard drives in a hybrid configuration enables data layering.
Eliminate bottlenecks with fast networking options and memory with up to 16 DIMMs.
