is treated and spun into yarns to make fabric. The soft, lustrous and lightweight viscose fabric drapes perfectly.
Viscose, or viscose rayon, is rapidly growing in popularity, finding its way into everything from clothes to home furnishings. But what is viscose, and how is it made?
Viscose, also known as rayon, is a type of textile fibre made from cellulose derived from
trees. The process was actually patented in 1892, but it has gained popularity in recent years as brands and consumers become
increasingly aware of the impact of fashion industry and look for more sustainable fabrics.

Notes
Dyeable in a wide range of colors is possible; however, colorfastness to laundering is variable and similar to normal viscose
fiber. FR Viscose is stable when exposed to a wide variety of acids and alkalis. However, prolonged exposure to high
concentrations of sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, dimethyl formamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide is not recommended. The fabric does
not provide personal chemical protection to the wearer. Where chemical exposure is a hazard, appropriate specialized barrier
garments should be selected. FR Viscose is stable when exposed to a wide variety of bleaching agents and organic solvents.

The fiber that is used in cushion filling is fiberfill as it is bulky and with that it is
soft as well. Although over time it tends to go a little flat so you will need to plump up your cushions to make sure they look full this will introduce air in between the fibers and make them fill out.
It is a synthetic version of down and feathers, with qualities such as being warm, washable, and naturally stain resistant.
