Suitable for excavator:
- Driving sheet piles into the ground.
- Pulling sheet pies out of the ground.
Our Pile Hammers have been developed to give you a highly effective piling rig based around a standard, readily available excavator.
The equipment has been specifically designed to be able to lift the pile vertical - the compact, reliable and robust model grips piles tightly with its powerful jaw in minimal height to maximise the pile length.
Once secured, the pile is then vibrated with high frequency vibrations so as to ‘fluidise’ the soil resisting the pile. Down-crowd force applied by the excavator boom, coupled with the self-weight of the pile and the vibrator, provides sufficient force to push the pile into the ground. Naturally, the process also works in reverse for pile extraction.
