Oil seals often called grease, fluid or dirt seals close spaces between stationary and moving components in mechanical equipment, helping prevent lubricant escape. They also stop harmful contaminants from entering machinery, particularly in severe environments. Vital components of practically every type of machine and vehicle in operation, oil seals protect all types of precision-constructed, close-fitting ball, sleeve and roller bearings.


 


The TC Oil Seal is a low-pressure dual lip radial seal a with garter spring to provide protection from contaminants. The rubber covered OD improves the OD sealing ability. The internal face of the steel case is not fully rubber covered. The additional dust lip protects the primary sealing lip against dust and other contamination. This seal can be used in polluted environments. To maximize performance over the lifetime of the seal an adequate lubricant should be applied between the two sealing lips.


The SC is a low-pressure single lip radial oil seal with a garter spring. The rubber covered OD improves the OD sealing ability. The internal face of the steel case is not fully rubber covered. This seal is not recommended for use in a polluted environment as it contains no exclusionary sealing lip. To maximize performance over the lifetime of the seal an adequate lubricant should be applied under the sealing lip.
