Product Description
Meta aramid, also known as poly (phthaloyl meta phenylenediamine) (PMTA) or aramid 1313. Meta aramid is the fastest developing crystal seed in organic high-temperature resistant fibers. The fiber molecules are composed of amide groups connected to meta phenyl groups, and the molecular chains are linear serrated. Due to the strong hydrogen bonding between molecules, the fibers have excellent flame retardancy, thermal stability, radiation resistance, and other properties.
Meta aramid is a flexible polymer with a higher breaking strength than ordinary polyester, cotton, nylon, etc. It has a higher elongation, a soft feel, and good spinnability. It can be produced into short fibers and long filaments of different sizes and lengths, and woven into fabrics and non-woven fabrics with different yarn counts on general textile machinery. After finishing, it meets the requirements of protective clothing in different fields.
The characteristics of meta aramid mainly include:
1. Excellent high temperature resistance: meta aramid can be used at higher temperatures without decomposition or melting. It can
be used continuously at 205 ℃, while maintaining high strength even at high temperatures above 205 ℃.
2. Good dimensional stability: meta aramid has a small thermal shrinkage rate, which can maintain its original size even in high
temperature environments.
3. Excellent spinnability: meta aramid is soft and fluffy, easy to weave, and suitable for making various textiles.
4. Excellent flame retardant performance: meta aramid has a high limit oxygen index (LOI), greater than 28, so it will stop
