Xylo-oligosaccharide is a functional polymeric sugar consisting of 2-7 xylose molecules bonded by β-1,4 glycosidic bonds.
Xylo-oligosaccharides is one of the most powerful varieties of oligosaccharides for proliferating bifidobacteria. Its efficacy is nearly 20 times that of other oligosaccharides.
Xylo-oligosaccharides help to establish favorable environmental conditions in the intestines, lower the fecal pH, and help to maintain the fecal water content within the normal range.
