Use Step:
1. Preparation before blood pressure measurement: Rest quietly for at least 5 minutes before taking the blood pressure measurement, try to avoid drinking strong tea or coffee half an hour before the measurement, and choose a sitting position. Additionally, try to choose a chair with a back as much as possible. When measuring, the legs should naturally sag and not overlap. The blood pressure gauge should be at the same level as the heart. At this time, turn on the mercury column blood pressure gauge. There is a button in front of the box cover. After opening the button, push it open, and then turn on the mercury column switch;
2. Attention when measuring: If blood pressure has never been measured before, both the left and right sides should be measured simultaneously. When tying the cuff, make sure that the lower edge of the cuff is 1-2 fingers away from the elbow socket position, which is 2cm. It is advisable to put 1-2 fingers inside, do not wear too many clothes, and wear at most one layer;
3. Attention when deflating: During the inflation process, it is necessary to inflate slowly. If no pulsation is heard, increase it by about 20mmHg and then deflate slowly. The first sound heard is to measure the high pressure value of blood pressure, then gradually deflate, and the descent speed should not be too fast. It should drop by 2mm Hg in one second. When the sound disappears, it is the diastolic blood pressure. During auscultation, the device of the stethoscope should not be stuffed under the cuff, but placed at the location of the brachial artery in the cubital fossa.
