Activated carbon powder is mainly made of fruit shell, wood and anthracite. Mainly used for water treatment, air purification and decolorization. Processing formed after high temperature carbonization, activation, crushing and grinding. The product can meet 325 mesh, 1000 iodine value, 160mg/g/ 10L to recolorization. Coconut shell activated carbon powder also can used for skin whitening teeth whitening and other food grade decoclorization.

Technological Process
The following is the general process for making powdered activated carbon:
1. Raw material selection:
Commonly used raw materials include wood, bamboo, coconut shells, coal, fruit shells and other organic matter.
Different raw materials will affect the pore structure and adsorption performance of activated carbon.
2. Dry:
The raw materials need to be dried to reduce the moisture content, usually around 100°C.
Drying improves the efficiency of the subsequent carbonization process.
3. Carbonization:
The dried raw materials are heated at high temperatures (300-600°C) in the absence of oxygen to remove most of the volatile substances in the raw materials, leaving a carbon-rich structure.
Carbonization time and temperature will affect the pore structure of the product.
4. Activation:
The carbonized material is further heated (800-1000°C) and an activator is introduced. Common activators include water vapor, carbon dioxide, air or chemicals (such as potassium hydroxide, zinc chloride, etc.).
The activation process increases the porosity of the carbon, increasing its surface area and enhancing its adsorption capacity.

If chemical activation is used, the activated carbon needs to be washed with water or acid to remove residual chemical
