Description
Wire Thread Insert, also known as threaded wire sleeve, wire screw sleeve, is a new type of internal thread fastener.Wire thread Inserts provide a durable and permanent screw thread when inserted into pre-tapped holes.They enable you to produce strong, permanent threads in metals and plastics but are particularly useful for creating strong threads in softer materials such as aluminium, titanium and magnesium alloys.Thaishell® wire thread inserts are made from a range of materials and with various coatings to suit virtually any type of equipment manufacturing.

Types:
There are two basic types of Thaishell inserts available:
• Free Running inserts which provide a smooth Free Running standard female thread.
• Screw Locking inserts which provide self-locking torque on the male member by a series of "chords" on one or more of the insert coils, so achieve a locking function for the female thread when the fasteners installed.

Inserts are also available in 316 Stainless Steel (AISI316), Phosphor Bronze (DIN17677 or BS2783 PB102), Inconel X-750 (AS7246).

How To Install Wire Thread Inserts
Installation process:
Drilling→Tapping→Installing→Breaking off tang
Tools:
1.Drill: used for drilling the base holes
2.Taps: used for the processing special internal thread of the base holes.
3.Installation tools: put sets into the threaded hole.
4.Break-off tools: break off the tang of thread insert.
5.Extraction tools: used for removing the damaged thread insert from the threaded hole.

How To Remove Wire Thread Inserts
When removing Thread Inserts, press an Insert Removal Tool onto the insert, and slowly turn counterclockwise to remove it. When reinserting the Thread Insert into the removed hole, use special tap again before inserting.
