Children's Product Certificate CPC
Children’s product certification (Certification) refers to the written Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) issued by manufacturers and importers of children’s products to prove that their products meet the corresponding children’s product safety regulations. The CPC and supporting test reports must be in English and cover their product identification information. Children's product certification must be based on test results from a third-party laboratory recognized by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). As one of the CPSC-accredited laboratories, Huake Testing has a laboratory registration number of: 1710. It is the first testing laboratory in China to obtain CPSC accreditation for all projects. Children's Product Certificate Contents
1. Product identification information covered by this certificate: Sufficient details must be provided to describe each product within the scope of certification;
2. Each CPSC children's product safety regulation cited by the certified product: The certification must be specific to each individual children's product safety regulation that applies to the children's product.
3. The U.S. importer or manufacturer's compliance certification mark of the product: Provide the importer's name, complete mailing address, phone number or U.S. domestic product manufacturer certification.
4. Contact information of the test data maintainer: Provide the name, complete mailing address, email address, and phone number of the test data maintainer used to support certification.
5. Product production date and production address: For the production date, at least provide the year and month of production. For the manufacturing address, provide at least the city (or borough), state (when applicable), and country information where the product is manufactured or final assembled. If the same manufacturer has multiple business addresses in the same city, the factory's street address is also required.
6. Date and address of Consumer Product Safety Regulations compliance testing: Provide the testing location and date of the test or test report.
7. CPSC-accredited third-party laboratory that conducts compliance testing required for certification: Provide laboratory name, complete mailing address and phone number. Registered low-volume product manufacturers that are not required to conduct third-party testing for certain children's product safety regulations must include the registration number provided by the CPSC in this section. (Products produced by registered small-volume product manufacturers still need to comply with corresponding children's product safety regulations).
