Puerto de Indias Lemonberry Premium Gin Vol. 70cl. A premium gin with a flavor that fuses lemon, strawberry, and blackberry. A citrus sensation of freshly squeezed lemon with a balanced blend of selected strawberries and blackberries settled on a juniper base. To the eye: We perceive a pale yellow color with some green tears. On the palate: The first thing that overwhelms us is the citrus note of lemon, which is rounded off by the flavor of strawberry and blackberry, leaving a sweet, fresh and citrusy finish reminiscent of a lemon candy. On the nose: The notes of blackberry and strawberry predominate, with a citrus freshness provided by the lemon that envelops the sweetness of the red fruits. Finish: Sweet, citrusy, and fresh at the same time. THE DISTILLERY
It is the story of two Sevillian brothers who, following their intuition and love for their land, decided to buy one of the oldest distilleries in Andalusia which was about to close: Los Alcores de Carmona, the birthplace of the first Andalusian pacharán.
The founders of Puerto de Indias decided one day to macerate natural strawberries in alcohol. In winter this experiment went well, but the Seville heat made the compact strawberries dilute in the alcohol. What at first seemed like a mistake created the pink gin category.
This is how these two entrepreneurs, even without knowing it, would start, from a small corner in Seville, the biggest revolution in the sector, innovating from tradition.
This is a story of reinvention, of taking risks in difficult times, and pursuing dreams.
