Surf Simulating Flow Rider With Wave
The newly designed surf simulator uses a powerful water pump to spray a three-inch-thick layer of water at speeds ranging from 20 MPH to 30 MPH. Water flows upward over surfaces carefully designed to replicate the shape of ocean waves.
Plate waves are standing waves because the waves do not move forward and the motion originates from the water flowing across the surface. River riders gain speed from the energy of the passing water and can perform basic maneuvers, complex turns and tricks in a relatively small area, making them the best way to learn to surf.
