Dark purplish red powder, with special smell, soluble in water, insoluble in oil.
The aqueous solution is red to reddish purple. The hue is affected by the change of environmental PH value: pH: 4.0 below: orange to orange-red; PH: 5.0-6.0 is red to reddish purple, pH: 7.0 and above is purple to purple. Stable to light and heat.
