Quicking Avian Influenza Virus Ag Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough AIV antigen in the sample, a visible T band will appear. The C band should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of Avian Influenza Virus antigen in the sample.

Avian influenza or bird flu refers to the disease caused by infection with avian (bird) influenza (flu) Type A viruses. These
viruses naturally spread among wild aquatic birds worldwide and can infect domestic poultry and other bird and animal species. Bird flu viruses do not normally infect humans. Test Procedure &Result Read
TEST PROCEDURE
* Insert the swab stick into bird’s cloacae or dip the swab stick in bird’s eyes or nose to collect the secretions. Please make the swab wet sufficiently. Or take serum as sample.
* Insert the wet swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitate it to assure good sample extraction. Or drip 2-3 drops serum into assay buffer, mix well as sample extraction.
* Take out the cassette from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
* Gradually drip 3 drops of sample extraction into the sample hole. If the migration has not appeared after 30 seconds, add one more drop of the sample extraction in to sample hole.
* Interpret the result in 5 minutes. Result after 6 minutes is only considered as reference.
* Insert the wet swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitate it to assure good sample extraction. Or drip 2-3 drops serum into assay buffer, mix well as sample extraction.
* Take out the cassette from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
