Negative Pressure Wound Therapy( NPWT) is a medical device system that promotes wound healing by delivering negative pressure (avacuum) at the wound site through a patented dressing and therapy unit creating an environment that promotes the wound healing process.
This negative pressure helps draw wound edges together, remove wound fluids and infections materials and promote granulation tissue formation (the connective tissue in healing wounds).

Matters needing attention
1. Sterile, disposable.
2. It is forbidden to use if the packing bag is damaged.
3. It cannot replace measures such as suture, hemostasis and skin disinfection.
4. It cannot be used for the fixation of arterial catheter.
5. If the wound is infected or ulcerated, it is forbidden. If the wound is infected later, such as congestion, swelling, exudation and fever, the use shall be terminated or the replacement frequency shall be increased according to the doctor's diagnosis.
6. The dressing of appropriate specification shall be selected and applied to the skin naturally. It shall not be pulled to cause tension and damage the skin.
7. When removing the dressing, care should be taken not to pull off the catheter or other instruments under it.
