Low viscosity Industrial Chemical Additive Carboxyl methyl Cellulose CMC for Oil Well Drilling Mud
Carboxymethyl Cellulose also called CMC is an anionic water soluble polymer based on renewable cellulosic raw material. It functions as rheology modifier, retains water and is an excellent film former. These attributes make it a preferred choice as a bio-based hydro-colloid in multiple applications.
Usage of CMC: add to mud directly or glue solution preparation.
Addition of CMC: The recommended dosage is 0.3-0.5% fresh water slurry and 0.5-0.8% saturated brine slurry, which can be mixed with warm water or added into wells directly and slowly while drilling.
CMC can reduce water loss, and increase viscosity in drilling fluid, cementing fluid and fracturing fluid. They play the roles of protecting the wall of well, taking drilling trifles, protecting drilling bit,preventing mud loss and increasing drilling rate.

1. The solid product can be packed in inner plastic bags, and further in polypropylene woven bags with each bag containing 25Kg.
