Cement kiln is mainly used for calcining cement clinker and are divided into two categories: dry process cement kiln and wet process cement kiln. Metallurgical chemical kiln are mainly used for magnetic roasting of poor iron ore in steel plants in the metallurgical industry;
Rotary kiln is a rotary calcination kiln and also one of the building material equipment. According to the different processing materials, there are cement kiln, metallurgical and chemical kiln, and lime kiln.
Rotary kiln is the key equipment of cement clinker in dry-process and wet-process production line. Metallurgy chemical kiln is mainly used in iron ore magnetic calcination, slicon thermal refining magnesium, chromium nickel ore calcination, refractory calcination and active lime and calcined dolomite for steel mill and ferroalloy works.

Rotary kiln belong to building materials and equipment, and can be divided into cement kiln, metallurgical and chemical kiln, and lime kiln according to different materials. Cement kiln are used to prepare cement clinker, and there are two preparation methods: dry method and wet method.
Metallurgical chemical kiln are widely used in the magnetic roasting of poor iron ore in steel plants and the oxidation roasting of chromium and nickel; High alumina ore from the backing refractory material factory; Roasting clinker and alumina in aluminum plants, and roasting chromium ore and chromium powder in chemical plant. Lime kiln are used for the calcination of active lime in steel plant and ferroalloy plant, as well as for the light calcination of dolomite.

Working Principle


Working Principle of Cement Rotary Kiln:
The rotary kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly around its axis. The material to be processed is fed into the upper end of the cylinder. As the kiln rotates, the materials gradually move down towards the lower end, and may undergo a certain amount of stirring and mixing. Hot gases pass along the kiln sometimes in the same direction as the process material (co-current), but usually in the opposite direction (counter-current). The hot gases may be generated in an external furnace, or may be generated by a flame inside the kiln. Such a flame is projected from a burner-pipe (or 'firing pipe') which acts like a large burner. The fuel may be gas, oil or pulverized coal.

1. With a certain slope to the level, the whole kiln body is supported by rollers and fitted with thrust rollers to control up and down movement of the kiln body.
2. Besides main driving unit for driving system, it is also fitted with the auxiliary driving unit so as to ensure the kiln body still can rotating when the main motor is powered off and prevent it from deforming.
3. The kiln head adopts housing type sealing and kiln rear uses axial contact sealing unit so that reliability of sealing could be ensured.
