Product Description

Production Process Type

Bidirectional Carbon Fiber Fabric Unidirectional fabric

Compression molding
Precision: Ensuring the material fills the mold with high accuracy.
Durability: Creating molds that can endure repeated use without wearing out.
Customizability: Molds can be designed for various shapes and sizes according to product specifications.
Efficiency: Maximizing productivity by streamlining the mold-making process.

Hot press forming
A single layer of prepreg (pre-impregnated fiber material) is stacked in a predetermined direction to form a composite material blank, which is then placed in an autoclave to complete the curing process under specific temperature and pressure. The autoclave is a specialized pressure vessel designed to withstand and control a range of temperature and pressure conditions. The blank is placed on a mold surface coated with a release agent, then successively covered with a porous release fabric (film), bleeder cloth, and breather cloth, and sealed within a vacuum bag. Prior to heating and curing, the bag is vacuumed to remove air and volatiles. The temperature, pressure, and curing process are controlled according to the specific resin curing protocol. The development and implementation of the curing schedule are critical to ensuring the quality of parts formed in the autoclave

Hand Processing
The curing process of the hand lay-up method can be performed at room temperature without the need for specialized mechanical equipment, which reduces costs. It is not restricted by the size or shape of the product, making it convenient to operate and suitable for producing small quantities of items with complex designs.

VARTM
Vacuum infusion, also known as Vacuum-Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM), is a composite manufacturing process where resin is introduced into a laminate under vacuum pressure. In this process, dry reinforcing materials like fiberglass or carbon fiber are laid into a mold, covered with a vacuum bag, and then vacuumed to remove air. Once the vacuum is achieved, resin is drawn into the laminate, filling voids and compacting the materials.
The advantages of vacuum infusion include better resin control, reduced air entrapment, and an improved fiber-to-resin ratio. It is typically used in applications requiring high strength and lightweight composite structures.

FAQ

Q: What kind of carbon fiber fabric do you use in your factory?
A: We usually use 3K resin pre-diffuse two-way carbon fiber cloth, we can provide 6K112K can also provide two-way carbon fiber cloth, and can also provide one-way carbon fiber cloth.

Q: What kind of carbon fiber surface do you have?
A: Plain/twill weave, smooth surface 1 matte. We also have unidirectional fabrics without any woven surface. You can choose what you want and let us know.

Q: How can we get a quote?
A: We need 3 details: Step/stp/x_t format drawing file; 2. Quantity; 3. Surface requirements.

Q: Can you help us draft the drawing documents?
A: Yes, we can. But we need a sample to scan the size or you can provide a very detailed size to us. We can draft drawing documents for additional costs.

Q: Does carbon fiber have to be molded to make it?
A: It depends on your product drawing files. Most carbon fiber parts are compression-molded, but some simple plate and tube parts can be made by CNC machining. Our molds are durable metal molds such as aluminum or steel materials
