The water electrolysis hydrogen production device consists of an electrolytic cell, a gas-liquid processor, a water alkali tank system, a rectification system, a control system, and other auxiliary systems.
Note: The scope of supply depends on the specific contract requirements of the user.
Electrolytic cell:
The electrolytic cell is a pressure filtration bipolar structure and is the main equipment in the hydrogen production unit. The electrolytic cell consists of several electrolytic cells, each consisting of a cathode, anode, diaphragm, insulating gasket, and electrolyte. The upper part of the end plate is equipped with hydrogen and oxygen liquid outlet pipes for exporting hydrogen and oxygen gases, and the lower part is equipped with alkali liquid inlet for replenishing electrolyte; The middle positive electrode frame is the positive electrode, and the two end plates are the negative electrodes. The rectification system provides direct current to the electrolytic cell, and water molecules undergo electrochemical reactions on the electrodes, decomposing into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. The function of KOH (or NaOH) in water is to increase the conductivity of water, and it does not participate in the reaction itself, theoretically not consumed.
Gas liquid processor:
The gas-liquid processor consists of a hydrogen separator, an oxygen separator, a hydrogen washer, an oxygen washer, a hydrogen side heat exchanger, an oxygen side heat exchanger, an alkali solution filter, an alkali solution circulation pump, various valves, primary instruments, pipelines, etc. It is mainly used to separate the mixture of hydrogen and alkali solution and the mixture of oxygen and alkali solution from the electrolytic cell, and obtain pure hydrogen and oxygen through cooling, separation, washing, and defogging. In addition to centralized display instruments in the control room, the device is also equipped with on-site instruments such as pressure, liquid level, and temperature to display the main parameters of equipment operation and ensure safe operation of the equipment.
Water alkali tank system:
The water alkali tank system consists of a water tank, an alkali tank, a water pump, and valves. The water tank is used to store raw water, and the alkali tank is used to prepare and store alkali solution. During the operation of the device, raw water is injected into the system through a water pump, and sometimes alkaline solution is appropriately supplemented into the system through a water pump.
Rectification system:
The rectification system consists of a rectifier transformer and a rectifier cabinet. The rectifier transformer is used to convert high voltage electricity into a voltage suitable for thyristor operation, with the primary winding connected to high voltage electricity and the secondary winding connected to the rectifier cabinet. The rectifier cabinet is used to convert alternating current into direct current and provide direct current to the electrolytic cell through copper bars.
Control system:
The control system includes a control cabinet and an upper computer.
The control cabinet consists of PLC, secondary instruments, safety barriers, sound and light alarms, operation buttons, switches, etc. It can achieve automatic detection, adjustment, fault alarm and interlocking, automatic startup and shutdown of various parameters of the device. The upper computer can achieve functions such as monitoring and recording of various parameters of the device, and can remotely operate the equipment.
