The device provides powerful service processing capabilities and support for a wide range of features.
* Powerful routing capabilities: The device supports super large routing tables and provides Routing Information Protocol (RIP),
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS), Border Gateway Protocol 4 (BGP-4), and
multicast routing protocols. It also supports simple and ciphertext authentication, as well as fast route convergence. These

(MLDv1)/Multicast Listener Discovery Version 2 (MLDv2), Internet Group Membership Protocol Version 3 (IGMPv3), IGMP snooping,
MLD snooping, and Bit Index Explicit Replication IPv6 Encapsulation (BIERv6). The device has the flexibility to carry video
services, such as Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services, and satisfies the requirements for multicast services on
networks of any scale.

SRv6-Powered Intelligent Connection

SRv6 is a future-oriented, next-generation simplified protocol that inherently supports IPv6, allowing access of numerous
terminals. Working with the controller, SRv6 enables network resource adjustment in accordance with changes on the cloud, one-hop
access to the cloud, and service provisioning within minutes. SRv6 can identify applications and tenants to implement intelligent
traffic steering based on latency and bandwidth, ensuring SLAs. In addition, SRv6 simplifies protocols and configurations.

Comprehensive Network Slicing Functions

The device provides a comprehensive range of network slicing functions to meet the diversified SLA requirements of different
services and customers.
In addition to providing high-quality QoS and advanced queue scheduling algorithms and congestion control algorithms, the device
supports MPLS H-QoS and QoS deployment on the network side and implements the QoS function for MPLS VPN, VLL, and PWE3 services,
thereby achieving accurate multi-level scheduling for data flows. This meets the SLA requirements of different users and different
levels of services. Moreover, the NetEngine 8000 M14, NetEngine 8100 M14, and NetEngine 8000E M14 support the five-level HQoS
scheduling at the access side to meet the diversified service requirements of access users.
FlexE isolates services through interface-based bandwidth isolation, and isolated interfaces do not affect each other. Traffic is
isolated at the physical layer, and network slicing is performed for services on the same physical network.
The device excels in network resource allocation and can provide a network-wide QoS solution to meet the SLA requirements of
services with different priorities.

Full-Lifecycle Automation

iMaster NCE-IP enables full-lifecycle automation and network-wide real-time visualization. Precise in-band flow measurement based
on the controller and IFIT enables real-time visualization of service quality and fault locating within minutes.

High-Accuracy 1588v2 Clock Solution
* IEEE 1588v2 is a standard for the precision clock synchronization protocol for networked measurement and control systems. The
1588v2 standard defines the Precision Time Protocol (PTP), which can achieve time and frequency synchronization with an
accuracy of sub-microseconds.
* Time and frequency synchronization meets the requirements of the G8273.2 standard. The high-precision time meets the
requirements of wireless and LTE networks. The time jitter among multiple nodes (fewer than 30 nodes) is less than 1 µs,
allowing for large-scale networking. External clock sources can be assigned different priorities. A device selects an external
clock source as its reference clock source based on factors such as the priorities of external clock sources and the number of
hops between itself and external clock sources. After the best external clock source fails, the device automatically selects
the second-best external clock source as its reference clock source. An NE switchover can be completed within 200 ns, ensuring
the high reliability of clocks.
* The NMS provides GUI-based clock management.

IPv6 Compatibility Solution

The device supports IPv6 static routes and a variety of IPv6 routing protocols, including OSPFv3, IS-ISv6, and BGP4+. In addition,
the device provides a large-capacity IPv6 FIB and supports IPv6 terminal access, IPv6 ACLs, and IPv6 policy-based routing. These
features enable smooth transition to IPv6. The device also supports IPv4/IPv6 dual stack to enhance network scalability.

The device provides reliability protection at different levels, including device, network, and service levels. It provides a
network-wide reliability solution that fully meets the reliability requirements of different services, and lays the foundation for
enterprise service reliability and interconnection with a system availability of 99.999%.
* Device-level reliability: The device provides redundancy backup for key components. These key components support hot swapping
and hot backup. The device also uses technologies such as non-stop routing (NSR) and non-stop forwarding (NSF) to ensure
uninterrupted services.
* Network-level reliability: The device ensures network-level reliability through various technologies, such as IP/LDP/VPN/TE
FRR/hot-standby, TI-LFA, fast convergence of IGP, BGP, and multicast routes, Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), trunk
link load balancing and backup, bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD), Ethernet OAM, routing protocol/port/VLAN damping
technologies and IFIT. In addition, the device supports end-to-end protection switching within 200 ms for uninterrupted
services.

redundancy, and E-Trunk technologies to provide service-level redundancy backup in L3VPN and L2VPN scenarios, ensuring stable,
