Anthracene oil is a yellow-green oily liquid that can crystallize at room temperature, with the crystals appearing yellow and
exhibiting blue fluorescence. It is soluble in ethanol and ether but insoluble in water, and it has a strong irritant effect. The
melting point of anthracene is 217°C, the boiling point is 345°C, the autoignition temperature is 540°C, and the closed cup flash
point is 121.11°C. The lower explosive limit is 0.6%. Anthracene oil is flammable and corrosive, classified as an organic
corrosive substance.
