Cost-Effective And Affordable Copper Flotation CELL Rock Gold Processing Plant

1. The cover plate is equipped with 18-20 stators (also known as "guide vanes"), which are arranged obliquely to guide the pulp flow thrown out by the impeller. There are 18-20 circulation holes between the two stators on the cover plate for pulp circulation, thereby increasing the amount of inflation.

2. The impeller and stator clearance should generally be 5-8mm.

3. At the lower part of the air cylinder, there is a circulation hole for adjusting the circulation volume of the pulp, and the circulation volume is controlled by the gate. Therefore, the amount of pulp passing through the center of the impeller can vary with the change of the external ore supply. In the DC tank, the internal pulp circulation can also be used to meet the required ore supply in the center of the impeller when the amount of air is large.

Working Principle of copper flotation CELL:
Flotation is a physicochemical separation process used in mineral processing to selectively separate valuable minerals from gangue by taking advantage of differences in their hydrophobicity. The basic principle of flotation involves the following steps:

1. Pulp Preparation:
* The ground ore is mixed with water to form a slurry known as pulp. Reagents may be added to adjust the pH level and to promote the attachment of certain minerals to air bubbles.

2. Aeration and Bubble Formation:
* Air is injected into the pulp, creating fine bubbles. In some designs, the air is mechanically agitated to increase the surface area of the bubbles and enhance their interaction with the particles.

3. Particle Attachment:
* Hydrophobic particles (those that repel water) attach themselves to the air bubbles due to the presence of collectors or other reagents that make the mineral surfaces hydrophobic. These bubbles rise through the pulp column.

4. Froth Formation and Mineral Recovery:
* As the bubbles carrying the hydrophobic particles reach the surface, they form a froth layer. The froth is then scraped off the top of the flotation cell, and this froth contains the concentrated valuable minerals.

5. Tailings Disposal:
* The remaining pulp, which contains the gangue minerals (waste material), is discharged from the bottom of the flotation cell as tailings.

6. Cleaning and Concentrating:
* Sometimes multiple stages of flotation are employed to clean the concentrate further and increase its grade. This process is called cleaning or scavenging.

Flotation machines are designed to optimize the above process by controlling factors such as the air flow rate, the speed of agitation, and the addition of reagents, all of which influence the efficiency of the separation.
