What is Fire Hydrant?
A Fire Hydrant is a pipe system that is connected to a municipal water supply. It is typically located on the side of the road, near the curb, and is marked by a bright red or yellow metal post or cap. The primary purpose of fire hydrants is to supply water for suppressing fire. Fire hydrants serve as a reservoir where water is tapped during firefighting. Firefighters can tap into a water supply by releasing a hydrant nozzle, attaching their hose to the nozzle, and then twisting a valve to get pressurized water

Working Principle of Fire Hydrant
Fire hydrants with a variety of valves and connection points are seen in many places. In the event of a fire breakout, firefighters locate the fire hydrants, connect their hoses and then pump a large volume of pressurized water to put out the fire. A special pentagonal wrench is used to remove the valve cover of the hydrant. Then after attaching the hoses, the firefighters open the
valve for the water to flow.

1. Automatic pressure adjustment function: When the outlet pressure is under 0.1MPa, it can be stabilized to 0.5MPA within 15 seconds by adjusting to a certain position with the hydrant wrench. Besides the lifting valve stem can be self-locked at this position.
2. Anti-freezing function: Spring mechanical movement closed type drain outlet installed below the permafrost (The permafrost depth will be different according to the use of different areas and the burried depth of the automatic drain valve also will be changed accordingly), the hydrant in the closed state can be automatically and quickly discharge the residual water in the
cavity to prevent the equipment from freezing. Meanwhile,the gate valve in front of ordinary hydrant pipeline will not be necessary, which not only saves investment, but also saves maintenance cost in future.
3. Anti-collision function: The hydrant adopts positive pressure closure. Then the valve can be automatically closed under the dual action of the spring and the water pressure in the pipe network when being broken, stopping the water immediately, without affecting the normal use of other hydrants in the same pipeline, and can repair the damaged fittings of fire hydrant with
pressure.
