In recent years, due to the effects of climate change brought about by global warming, the frequency of localized and sudden heavy rainfalls has increased worldwide, leading to a rise in water-related disaster damage. Japan, especially the Tokyo and Yokohama areas, is considered to be at the highest risk globally for natural disasters. In response, the "TOKYO Resilience Project" has been launched, with plans to allocate a significant budget towards countermeasures. Amid these efforts, our company’s products have been adopted in some of Japan's most prominent buildings, such as Tokyo Skytree and the National Stadium, contributing to the reduction of flood damage to these structures. This product consists of lightweight panels made primarily from aluminum alloy extrusions, allowing for excellent operability and rapid installation in the event of a disaster.
The panel is equipped with custom-designed tightening handles and waterproof rubber components, offering top-level water resistance, meeting the highest standard of Japan Industrial Standard JIS A 4716 for flood prevention equipment (Ws-6, with a leakage rate of 0.001m³/h/㎡). The product's design allows for water barrier heights (anticipated flood levels) of up to 2,000 mm, the highest standard among domestic manufacturers, with no width limitation due to the option to link panels with intermediate columns. Since its launch in 2003, this product has been implemented in over 5,000 buildings across Japan.
