Galvanised steel pipe galvanized steel pipe is pre-cut, threaded, and certified NSF 61, and lead-free. Measurements are thread to thread. Each pipe has been hydrostatically tested and is ASTM and ASME compliant and galvanized in a hot zinc bath. Ideal for pipe decor, air, and water, applications that are within code. Galvanised steel pipe such pipes are thermally (= hot dip) galvanized. This means that these pipes are immersed, giving them a coarse zinc layer that adheres to the inside and outside of the pipe. In contrast to electrolytic ally galvanized pipes, all sides are treated here and not just the outside. A hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is resistant to corrosion and has a robust and industrial appearance due to their coarse finish. The galvanized pipes are therefore sturdier and heavier than aluminum pipes.
