Intended Use
This kit is used for the in vitro qualitative detection of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) nucleic acid in the bursa of Fabricius tissue, chicken embryo inoculates, and cell cultures of chickens suspected of being infected. IBDV causes reduced weight gain, mortality, severe dehydration, and hemorrhage in skeletal muscles in affected chickens. Infected chickens often experience immune failure and increased susceptibility to other pathogens. Post-infection, the mortality rate in laying hens can reach up to 70%. Additionally, even flocks with high maternal antibody levels can be affected. The test results from this kit can qualitatively determine whether the suspected diseased poultry is infected with IBDV..

Test Procedure & Result Read
1.Sample Prep：Extract nucleic acid using the extraction kit as per instructions; add 50 µL buffer to the positive control, vortex, and set aside; no processing for the negative control.
2.Reagent Prep：Calculate N (N = sample number + 1 negative control + 1 positive control), prepare the corresponding amount of reaction mix (8-well strips); add 20 µL buffer to each tube and cap.
3.Sample Addition：Add 5 µL of processed samples, negative control, and positive control to the tubes with buffer, cap, vortex, and centrifuge briefly to avoid droplets on walls or caps.
4.PCR Detection：Place PCR tubes in the PCR machine, set up negative control, positive control, and unknown samples; select FAM channel for result 1, VIC or HEX channel for result 2; run amplification program as set.
