A drain valve
A drain valve is a type of valve, also known as a trap or drain valve. The detailed introduction is as follows:
Function: Used in steam pipelines and equipment, it can automatically discharge condensed water, air, and other non condensable gases, while maximizing automatic prevention of steam leakage.
Working principle: Based on the gravity effect of the medium itself and pressure changes in the pipeline system, the valve is automatically opened to discharge condensed water. According to the different working principles of steam trap valves, they can be divided into the following three types:
1. Mechanical type: also known as float type, it uses the density difference between condensed water and steam to change the liquid level of condensed water, causing the float to rise and fall and drive the valve disc to open or close, achieving the purpose of blocking steam and draining water.
2. Thermal static type: It uses the temperature difference between steam and condensed water to cause deformation or expansion of the temperature sensing element, which drives the valve core to open and close the valve.
