Post tensioning wedges also called anchor jaws, are responsible for anchoring the post-tensioning cable to the concrete member so that it can develop the desired strength and stiffness.

Anchor wedge is a conical one-use wedge, consisting of three matching wedges held together by a circlip. Its internal diameter is adapted to the strand diameter. Anchorage wedges are precision machined from hot-rolled or cold-drawn rods of cement steel defined by reference to related standard and are case hardened. The steel grade is 20CrMnTi.
