Aramid 1414 fiber offers excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability. After being placed in a dry air at 180℃ for 48 hours, it retains 84% of its strength, with stable thermal shrinkage and creep properties. It has a decomposition temperature of about 560℃ and a glass transition temperature above 300℃. It is resistant to chemical corrosion, highly insulating, with a very high tensile strength and initial modulus, and its specific strength is five times that of steel.
