Dioctyl phthalate (DOP), an organic ester compound, is a commonly used plasticizer.
Application
DOP is a general-purpose plasticizer, mainly used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride resin, and also in the processing of high polymers such as chemical resin, acetate resin, ABS resin and rubber, as well as in paint making, dyes, dispersants, etc. , DOP plasticized PVC can be used to manufacture artificial leather, agricultural film, packaging materials, cables, etc. Organic solvents, stationary liquids for gas chromatography It is the most widely used plasticizer in industry. Except for cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate, this product has good compatibility with most synthetic resins and rubbers used in industry. This product has good comprehensive performance, good mixing performance, high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, good low temperature softness, water extraction resistance, high electrical performance, good heat resistance and weather resistance. In HVAC, it is used to test the filtration efficiency of HEPA filters. Because for high-efficiency filters, 0.3um (micrometer) is the particle size with the largest penetration rate, so DOP is used to test the filtration efficiency of high-efficiency filters.
