Ladle Crane Application

Overhead casting crane also called foundry crane , ladle crane, is one of the main equipments in the continuous casting technology of steelmaking. It mainly used to lift molten metal at steel plant and other place, and pour melted iron from additive bay of converter to converter; lift molten steel from refining bay to refining furnace or lift molten steel from molten steel bay to ladle turret of continuous casting machine.

The working class of the whole machine is A7, and thermal-protective coating is added at the bottom of the main girder. Some places where molten nonmetal material and red-hot solid metal is lifted also can refer to this document.

 

Ladle Crane Types

Depending on two different lifting capacity ranges, casting crane has two types: QDY series bridge foundry crane and YZ series ladle overhead crane. 

QDY series bridge foundry crane rated lifting capacity is from 5 ton to 74 ton, YZ type overhead casting crane rated lifting capaicty is from 74 ton to 500 ton. 

The overall structure of foundry crane has the following forms: double-girder and double-rail, four-girder and four-rail, four-girder and six-rail, etc. The form of double-girder and double-rail, and four-girder and four rail are mainly used for middle and large tonnage casting crane; the form of four-girder and six-rail and two trolley is mainly used for extra large-tonnage casting crane.
