Description Xanthan Gum is a high molecular weight polysaccharide biopolymer designed specially to viscosify water base drilling, completion and workover fluids. Application & Features Drilling fluids contained Xanthan Gum remain nearly constant viscosity from below freezing to 270°F static bottom hole temperature, in a pH range of 3 to 12 and, the product is non-toxic as well as biodegradable. Solutions of Xanthan Gum exhibit pseudoplastic rheological properties. Its excellent and effective shear-thinning behavior help both increase penetration rates under high shear and provide excellent suspending action for optimum hole cleaning under low shear while viscosity is regained. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
