The Grater/Rasper:

       Dura-Shred Grater:The Grater/rasper is the ultimate machine for mid-stream grinding and steel separation. It is specifically designed to take pre-shredded tires chips and produce between 30-10 mm (1.5” and 0.5”) wire free rubber chip. The Grater and can process up to 6 tons of input per hour. The main rotor housing is equipped with replaceable wear plates to increase the durability and longevity of the cutting chamber. Another unique feature of this machine is the ability to turn the knives once before having to send them to be sharpened or replaced, minimizing operating costs.

 

      The Grater/rasper takes the TDF rubber chips(50-150mm) from tire shredder machine and reduces them to 10mm-30mm. At this point 99.9% of the steel has been stripped and is removed with our magnet belt as the rubber mulch is transported to the vibratory conveyor for separation. For crumb rubber steel free mulch will be sent via conveyor to the Granulators for further processing
