Catalase 

I. Brief Introduction: 

Catalase is made of Aspergilus niger in the Fermentation and extraction method. It is a concentrated enzyme for catalyzing the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into water and molecular oxygen. It is specially designed to remove residual H₂O₂ on the fabric and improve the performance and quality of dyeing.

II. Definition of Activity: 

The amount of Catalase needed to break down 1μmol of hydrogen peroxide in one minute under at 30°C and pH7.0 is defined as one activity unit and marked with u/ml.

III. Mechanism: 

Catalase can decompose Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) into Oxygen (O₂) and Water (H₂O) by catalyzing the transfer of a pair of Electrons.

VI. Processing condition:

 

Temperature	20-60 °C, optimum 40-55 °C
pH	5.0-9.5, optimum 6.0-8.0
Dosage	0.3-5 ml/L (with specification 50000 u/ml)
Time	10-30 minutes

VII. Storage: 

Should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place; protect from direct sunlight, heat and dampness; avoid storing with poisonous and harmful substances.  

VIII. Packaging: 

25kg/drum, 30 kg/drum or as clients’ requirements. 

IX. Shelf Life: 

12 months, subject to storage condition.
