TAPER TEST MANDRELS
PARALLEL TEST MANDRELS
• Manufactured to high precision from alloy steel and heat treated a hardness of 62HRC + 2 HRC.
• Each piece is inspected for concentricity within 0.0001” and parallelism.
• Useful for alignment test between centers as well as in Morse Taper spindles.
• A Must tool in workshop for testing Lathe Machines.
• Fits between headstock and tailstock.
The Inspection Mandrels are used for checking the alignment of machine Spindle axis.
A Mandrel with a tapered shank serves to represent materially an axis of rotation, so that the axis can be checked for alignment.
A Mandrel mounted between centers provides a reference straight – line joining the two points ( centers ), so as to check the alignment of the centers.
