Precooked barley grains
Carbohydrates and fibers, especially in the whole grain version, are the most important elements of barley but, as opposed to other cereals, it stands out for the remarkable content of lysine, an essential amino acid involved in the formation of antibodies, enzymes and hormones and in the fixation of calcium in bones.
Three cooking modes...which do you prefer?
1) WITHOUT COOKING: pour 100 g of spelt into a bowl, add 150 ml of lukewarm water. Let soak for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
2) COOKING BY ABSORPTION: pour 100 g of spelt into a pot with 200 ml of cold water. Cover with a lid and cook for about 20 minutes over moderate heat, without stirring.
3) TRADITIONAL COOKING: Pour the spelt into plenty of lightly salted boiling water. Cook for 10 minutes, drain, season with ingredients to taste and serve.

Molino Rossetto is the story of a family business that has been handed down for 7 generations. It all began when a Countess left the miller ‘Rossetto’ to run a mill near a waterfall. Experience and hard work took the Rossetto family to the establishment in Pontelongo, in the province of Padova, along the left side of the Bacchiglione River, the same premises from which the business is run today by brother and sister, Paolo and Chiara Rossetto.
