COMPANY HISTORY
Holly-Wood Enterprises Group (HWE) is a 100% private family owned Australian company domiciled in Australia and owned by Australian residents, it is also a subsidiary of our parent company. These entities have over 25 years of combined experience and knowledge in the precious and scented wood export industry and in particular Sandalwood.

GOVERNMENT SANDALWOOD CONTRACT
In 2017 and due to the Companies overwhelming success and reputation, the Department of Forestry awarded (HWE) a 5 year Northern Australia Sandalwood Contract. This in turn gave the up to 2,500 ton Sandalwood (Santalum Lanceolatum) harvest of logs, roots and butts which will be exported primarily for oil extraction and carving.

RESOURCE & PRODUCTION
Our superior Sandalwood derives from old growth native bushland & open forests, these well aged and mature trees are between 25 and 90 years old. With such pure and certified organic raw material we are placed in an enviable position where as the heartwood is carefully transported to our extraction plant for the natural steam oil distillation process of this highly aromatic & precious commodity.

THE SANTALUM LANCEOLATUM ADVANTAGE
Although this Australian species has been widely used in the market place, its utilization as a pharmaceutical-grade oil, natural fixative and fragrant/flavour enhancer is relatively new. The oil has its own very unique signature consisting of a delicate light-gold colour, soft woody note with a distinctive sweet finish and pleasing top note fragrance. The Lanceolatum will also blend well with other sandalwood oils.

SUSTAINABILITY & CERTIFICATION
Australia is renown for its purity, greenness and cleanliness. The harvesting is performed under strict management and conditions so to be 100% sustainable and ecologically sound. The trees with roots are fully extracted from the ground to encourage regeneration for the future. Our forest practice management policy is in accordance with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and certified to AFS/01-21-07 (Australian Forest Standards) and PEFC/21-23-07 (Programme Endorsement for Forest Certification)
