HSQ series of automobile electromagnetic retarders are the environment-protective hi-tech products,designed upon the principle of electromagnetic mechanics, which are used as a necessary supplement for current braking system, offering extra braking force to the existing brake system. Therefore, the comfort and safety of the automobile have been promoted greatly. For the brake blades, tires and braking system, wear and tear have been reduced so as to prolong their service life, and maintenance fee can be saved a lot. In the meantime the noise and dust causing pollution have been reduced a great deal owing to the use of the retarder. The retarder is specially applied to the medium and heavy buses and coaches.
HSQ series of speed reducer mainly contains following parts:
1)interface bracket 2)rotator 3)stator 4)coil
5)mid joint flange (seeing fig.1)
The interface bracket (part 1)is to be casted presicely and mounted on the chassis or body.The rotator(part 2)which are divided into two parts(front and back)are to be casted with light and fine ferrous magnetic materials containing good magnetic conductivity and it is specially made into a form of blade wheel in order to dispel the heat caused by braking. Two rotators are mounted on two sides of the stator in symmetry through the mid joint flange (part 5),keeping with an appropriate gap (adjusted by spacer). The stator (part 3)is a stamping workpiece with the light and high strength material containing features of magnetic proof.Around the outside circle of the stator are mounted four sets of magnetic coils with unlike poles,which are wounded on 8manmetic cores with high magnetic conductivity.The coils (part 4)are to be winded with wires containing the characters of high heat resistance and high electric conductivity and be divided into four groups(each group has two)with unlike poles.The mid joint flange (part 5)which is made of fine material by presice machining, is to be connected with the propeller shaft of the automobile.
When the coils around the stator are electrified (DC.24V)by operating switch, the magnetic field is produced. The stator turns under the action of propeller shaft in the manmetic field, the circuit formed by the stator and rotator leads to a electromagnetic vortex flow that will make a resistant torque opposite to the turning direction of the rotator acted on the stator,the resistant torque is transmitted to the propeller shaft through the rotator,and then distributing to the left and right driven wheels by means of propelle shaft achieve the purpose of reducing speed.Because it is much faster to transmit the electric signal than to transmit the mechanical parts,the driving speed can be slowed down in advance by using this appliance.Whether the magnetic field is strong or weak and the effect of reducing speed are to be determined by how many coils are electrified.in addition,there avoid any wear and tear in the mechanical parts owing to no contacting friction.
