4. Work principle:
Sea water or Brine electrolysis. Sodium hypochlorite solution generated during the electrode is a strong oxidant which has strong bactericidal and bleaching effect, has been used as a fungicide most widely;
Hypochlorous acid decomposed further and form the nascent oxygen [O], the nascent oxygen take advantage of its strong oxidizing to destroy proteion of the bacteria and viruses on protein, then kill lethal pathogenic microorganisms.
Again, hypochlorous acid can generate the chlorine ion which can significantly change the osmotic pressure of the bacteria and viruses, which lead to the death of cells.
Secondly, hypochlorous acid is small molecules and without charge, it not only can act on the cell walls, virus coat, but also penetrate into the bacteria (virus) invivo, and bacteria (viruses) body proteins, nucleic acids and enzymes and organic polymer oxidation reaction, to kill pathogenic microorganisms.
Practice has proved that most of the available chlorine in the sodium hypochlorite solution generated by the electrolysis which exists in hypochlorite (ClO-) state(i.e. available chlorine is ion state) and no chlorine loss compare to chemical method, therefore hypochlorous acid is the excelletent, puritity, environmental and ideal fungicide.
The brine electrolysis is an electrochemical reaction process which is a simple chemical reaction, the raw material is salt + water only and no other additional ingredients, and the sodium hypochlorite be produced is pure. Chemical reaction process:
NaCL+H2O=NaCLO+H2↑
NaClO + H2O = HClO + NaOH
HClO → HCl + [O]
HCl + NaOH =NaCL+H2O
