The steps and tips of how to place the glass hearth plate on wood floor .

Please follow these instructions before placing your wood burning stove on the Glass Hearth Plate:
The wooden floor must be clean before the Glass Hearth Plate is set on it. Place a large piece of carpet (or textile) on the Hearth Plate during stove set up to avoid scratching it. Move your wood burning stove up onto the carpet and use the carpet to set the stove where you wish on the Hearth Plate. Tip the stove carefully to one side, fold the carpet, then tip the stove to the other side and remove the carpet. When the stove is installed acid-proof silicone can be used to tighten the gab between Hearth Plate and the floor. Make the silicone edging invisible by smoothing out with a finger dipped in detergent. Be careful not to squeeze the silicone under the Hearth Plate as it can be seen. With the discreet dust-proof edging an extremely clean look is achieved as dust and water are unable to penetrate underneath the hearth plate.

Note: Hot embers must quickly be removed as they will leave marks on the wooden floor.
