With the development of the gypsum industry, the need of the gypsum powder is increasing in various fields.
This leads to our high demands to the gypsum powder. Now, the production craft of the gypsum powder is
also improving. During the production and processing process, the drying and dehydration process is the
key point, and they are also difficult to master. Due to this phenomenon, after long terms’ research, we
develop a new kind of dehydrated equipment calciner which can meet all the requirements for gypsum powders’ production.

1. The work principle
The work principle of the drying system: The calciner mainly consists of intensive thermal coils which
are narrow in diameter. The hot oil are put into thermal coils. After the exchanging of the heat, the
heat energy are released to the calciner. On the bottom, there is a root blower. The cool wind blows into
the calciner by optimum of distributor in order to make the powders become ebullient. In certain degree,
the quality of the powders which are dehydrated the crystal water is becoming light. Then, they will flow
to the exit. So the quality of the gypsum powders is stable. And it is easy to control the quantity of the
crystal water and the initial setting time. Moreover, this equipment makes use of dry electrostatic dust
precipitator to dust. The rate of the dusting can reach to at least 95%, so it eliminate the dust pollution.
2. Simple structure; it is not easy to damage
Since the material become liquid state, there is no need to equip the revolving parts. So the structure
of the calciner is much simpler. It is not only easy to manufacture, but also almost does not need to
maintain. Because of using the low temperature source, it is impossible for calciner to burn out. So
it is serviceable.
3. Space-saving; intensive equipments
The structure of the calciner is multi-layer. The dust collector is on the top of the calciner and connects with it. Then, they become a
whole. This set is extremely compact. It is both space-saving and avoids the dust collector of coagulate.
4. The Low Cost of energy
The calciner costs little thermal and electric energy. For the heating aspect, almost all the thermal energy
which is passed from the heat resource is efficiently used in the dehydration of the material. Only a little used
to heat the cool air which blows in from the bottom of calciner and a little loss for radiation. The heat efficiency
of the calciner is above 95%. Of course, the thermal energy used by calciner is processed energy. The final
heat efficiency is equal to the heat efficiency multiplies the heat efficiency of the boiler. The technology of the
hot oil boiler is extremely perfect, and its heat efficiency is relatively high. The heat efficiency of the hot oil
can reach to 70% -80.So the total heat efficiency of calciner is also high. If we use the hot oil, the rate is
67%-76%. Although the common outcalciner centralized calcined equipments use the natural energy, the heat
efficiency is just less than 50%. In our company, for the gypsum which is used in the architecture, the quota
of the heat consuming of the calciner is 7.7 ×105MJ/t. For the electric energy, the calciner needn’t revolve, and
there is no mixer. The materials changes to liquid state mainly depend on the steam which is produced by
dehydration. The air which blows into the calciner from the bottom is also limit. It makes the efficiency of air- blower extremely low. So the electric energy consume of the calciner is much less than the traditional calcined
equipments.
5. High quality; the content of the hemihydrate is ideal; the physical property is stable.
Because of using the low temperature heat source, the gypsum is not easy to overburn. If the temperature
of producing is suitable, the finished product will not contain gypsume. The percentage of the anhedritite is
only bellow 5%. Others are all hemihydrate. This kink of composing is ideal. So the physical property is also
stable.
In order to reach the demand of production, our company studies out a set of calciner equipment. The main
stuff is qualified steel, such as the thermal coil is made of seamless tube chamfer (GB3087-82); The sheet steel of the boiler is carbon steel and low alloy steel plates (GB713-86). All the steel style shelves conform to the GB. Moreover, in the process of welding, in order to guarantee
the quality of welding, all the workers have the thermal coil. If the water pressure is 0.5-0.6MPa, and last for half an hour without the leaking of the water. Then we can say this product is qualified.
