Plastic Reels
We manufacture reels by injection moulding. They are made of polystyrene in different sizes and designs. By request we can also produce them in anti-static or conductive versions.
Carrier tapes
Carrier tape has pockets that are shaped to match the contours of the component to be carried. Under EIA standards, carrier tape width is between 8 and 104 mm. There are sprocket holes down both sides of the tape; round with a radius of approximately 1.5 mm on one side and oval with a "radius" of 0.75 mm on the other. These holes enable precise presentation of the pocket to the pick and place unit.
Cover tapes
The matching cover tapes are available in standard or anti-static versions for cold gluing or hot sealing.
With tape and reel, it is robot speed that determines the rate of production. With today’s generation of picking and placing robots, we at HERO-PAK will view completely new possibilities for increasing production efficiency.
